One of the best things about this kindergarten resource is its incredible versatility. You can easily adapt the included task cards for a variety of high-energy, interactive center setups:

  • Scavenger Hunt Game: Hide the ten-frame cards around the room or outdoor space. Give students a clipboard and let them hunt high and low to find the cards, count the objects, and record their answers as they track them down!

  • Count the Room Game: Tape the ten-frame cards around the classroom walls. Let kids walk around with clipboards and record their answers as they count the objects. It is a fantastic way to sneak in some gross-motor movement while practicing math!

  • Sequencing Game: Challenge students to put the ten-frame cards into the correct numerical order. This builds confidence in number recognition and sequential counting from 1 up to teen numbers.

  • Sensory Bin Game: Fill a sensory bin with fun seasonal objects (like candy pumpkins or colorful mini erasers!), give a child a target number, and have them place that exact amount onto a blank ten frame.

  • Scoot Game: Place ten-frame cards on student desks. When the timer goes off, children record the number of objects shown and "scoot" to the next desk. Repeat for high-energy math practice that keeps the whole room buzzing!

  • Turkey Number Match-Up (Cooperative Team Challenge): Divide students into small groups and give them the special turkey feather recording sheets. Have teammates work together to match the correct ten-frame task cards to the corresponding numbers, building both math fluency and collaborative teamwork skills!

This digital PDF download is a fantastic, low-prep way to add excitement to your math centers this November.
