Setup:

  1. Prep the Eggs:Ā Print the "number eggs" from the resource. Cut them out and place them inside plastic Easter eggs.

  2. Hide the Eggs:Ā Scatter the eggs around your outdoor space (or inside space).

  3. The Command Center:Ā Set up a small table or clipboard station with the "Number Find" bunny tracing sheetsĀ and some crayons.

How to Play:

  • The Search:Ā Children hunt for one egg at a time.

  • The Match:Ā Once they find an egg, they bring it back to the "Command Center," open it to see the number, and find that matching number on their Bunny Tracing Sheet.

  • The Trace:Ā They trace the number on the bunny and then go back out to find the next egg.

  • The Goal:Ā The hunt is complete once they have traced all the numbers (0-10 or 11-20, depending on the sheet you use).

🧩 Variation: Number Sequencing Race

If you want them to play the Number SequencingĀ game (using the provided egg cutouts)

  • Hide the eggs as usual.

  • As children find eggs, they must bring them back and work together to line them up in the correct order (0-20) on a sidewalk or long bench.

  • This adds a collaborative element to the hunt!

🧺 Variation: The Sorting Station

Use the Number and Number Word SortĀ baskets from the PDF:

  • Place the two "basket" pages at different ends of the yard.

  • Inside the hidden eggs, put either a numeral or a number word (using the provided egg cutouts) .

  • Kids must find an egg and run it to the "Number Basket" or the "Number Word Basket" based on what they found.

Provide a certificate of completion at the end of the scavenger hunt to recognize your kids hard work.
